Years of history and education
NewEarth University did not begin as an institution, it began as a longing shared across continents. A longing for learning that felt alive again. For education that liberated rather than confined. For a place where human beings could study not merely to earn credentials, but to reclaim themselves.
Before NEU had a name, it lived as a constellation of researchers, healers, architects, jurists, scientists, artists, and cultural stewards, each recognizing that the inherited systems of the modern world were no longer sufficient. Knowledge had become fragmented. Wisdom had become marginalised. And the human spirit had been pushed to the periphery of the educational experience.
NEU emerged as both a response and an invitation: a response to the collapse of outdated paradigms,
and an invitation into a new model of human development rooted in sovereignty, stewardship, and awakened intelligence.
What began as small gatherings, research circles, and global initiatives gradually became a living ecosystem, a zero-point learning field where the boundaries between teacher and student dissolve into co-creation. Over time, six Schools formed, each holding a facet of the human journey: Living Arts, Health & Wellness, Consciousness & Spirituality, Society & Ecology, Science & Design, and Natural Law.
Today, NEU is both a digital campus and a planetary network, a home for those exploring the edges of possibility, and a platform for new models of culture, governance, and human flourishing.
And although NEU now spans continents, courses, and communities… its founding principle remains unchanged:

2014–Established
NewEarth Institute envisioned and created by Sacha Stone and key management members as a brain-trust for the greater NewEarth movement. (known then as, “the New Earth Project” or “New Earth Nation”). Reverend Dr Nancy Ash is appointed as the leader of the Institute to recalibrate and actively steward this NewEarth fractal…
2015-Recalibration
Dr. Ash and a circle of global faculty undertook a nine-month “full-circle” transformation, evolving the Institute into the NewEarth University — a thriving field for sovereign un-learning and awakened learning.
2016-NEU Launch
NEU emerged fully into the world with a luminous online campus offering membership and six Schools, each balancing Sacred Feminine and Divine Masculine wisdom. Toolkits, a living Library, initiatives, and contributions from faculty and aligned teachers formed the early architecture of this new-paradigm learning sanctuary. The University’s first roots took hold.
2017-Growth
2018-Natural Law
The School of Natural Law unveiled its landmark online UCC Strawman curriculum, guided by faculty member Bibi Bacchus. Through two workshops and a foundational course, students around the world engaged deeply with sovereignty principles, marking a defining expansion of NEU’s educational reach.
2019-NEU in Bali
NEU welcomed new Research Faculty, Teaching Faculty, and Fellows as the ecosystem continued to expand. In Bali, the University held its first in-person convergence during the NewEarth Festival — a 7-day celebration anchored by the 3-day World Health Sovereignty Summit.
2019-LOTUS Initiative
Founded and stewarded by Rev. Dr. Ash as an offering of service and healing. Working alongside the ITNJ’s Commission of Inquiry into Human Trafficking and Child Sex Abuse, LOTUS brought together a circle of thirteen volunteer Providers who offered complimentary therapeutic support to targeted individuals and others navigating deep trauma.
2020-ReBrand
In a year that invited the world to see with “20/20” clarity, NEU underwent a gentle yet meaningful rebirth. Designer Can Bolel of NewEarth Horizon crafted a luminous new logo, signaling a fresh chapter of identity and purpose. Through uncertainty, NEU continued to expand — in grace, coherence, and quiet resilience.
2021-Online Curriculum
As global upheaval continued to reshape daily life, NEU faculty responded with renewed creativity. New workshops and courses emerged, offerings designed to support students in navigating rapid change, deepening resilience, and staying aligned with sovereign, heart-led learning.
2026-Return of the Living University
The 10 year anniversaary sees NEU re-emerge with a renewed architecture, digitally, structurally, and spiritually.
What began as a recalibration in earlier years becomes a full-system evolution: a redesigned platform, clarified governance, revitalized Schools, and a new era of sovereignty-centered learning.
